FLOXIN Otic SINGLES provides FLOXIN Otic in single dispensing containers and therefore the side effects are expected to be the same.

FLOXIN Otic (ofloxacin otic) must not be used in patients who are allergic to any of the ingredients of this medication or to other antibiotics in the quinolones class. Serious and occasionally fatal allergic reactions have been reported in patients taking quinolone medications either by mouth or by IV. At the first sign of allergic reaction, stop taking the drug and seek immediate medical attention. Do not use in eyes and not for injection.

Patients who have not improved after one course of treatment should see their doctor.

The most common reported side effects in patients with outer ear infection receiving FLOXIN Otic once daily, was discomfort upon application (7%), itching (1%), earache (0.8%), dizziness (0.4%) and headache (0.2-0.3%).

The most common side effects in patients with middle ear infections taking FLOXIN Otic twice daily were unusual taste (7%), earache (1%), itching (1%), numbness or tingling (1%), rash (1%) and dizziness (1%).
